Search Benton County Released Inmates

Benton County released inmates may leave the county jail for the community, state custody, another agency, or supervision. That distinction shapes every useful search. To search for Benton County released inmates, first identify the last place that held the person, then compare the county release record with state corrections, court, or parole information. Benton County released inmates usually leave the current jail roster after processing, but that absence does not prove where they went. A sound lookup uses the right custody system and confirms a web result with the office that created the record.

Benton County Release Meaning

A release from Benton County Detention Facility means that the jail ended its custody under one booking. It does not always mean the person walked away free of all custody or legal duties. The person might have posted bond, received a court-ordered release, completed a local sentence, or had a charge dismissed. The same release entry can also mark a transfer to the Missouri Department of Corrections, another county, a federal authority, or an immigration authority.

This is why the word “released” needs a source. The Sheriff’s record answers when Benton County ended custody. A court file explains what a judge ordered. MODOC can show later prison custody or active field supervision. A receiving agency documents a transfer. Final discharge is narrower still: it means the relevant sentence or supervision has ended. None of these terms should be treated as interchangeable.

Key distinction: leaving the current jail roster proves neither community release nor final discharge; it only signals that another record path may be needed.

Benton County Release Types

The official Benton County display publishes a release time but no verified release-reason label. The likely path must be confirmed through the booking record, court order, MODOC result, or receiving authority. The table separates common custody outcomes without assigning a reason that the public roster does not state.

Custody outcomeWhat it meansBest next record
Bond or recognizanceCounty custody ends while the case may remain open.Jail release entry and Case.net order
Dismissal or acquittalThe court ends or resolves the charge, subject to any other hold.Court disposition and jail timestamp
Local sentence completeThe person finishes the custodial part imposed locally.Judgment, jail credit, and release record
MODOC transferBenton custody ends because state custody begins.MODOC institutional result or movement record
Parole or conditional releasePrison confinement ends, but state supervision continues.MODOC field status and supervision office
Other agency transferAnother county, federal, or immigration custodian takes control.Receiving agency record

“Time served” is a court disposition crediting time already spent in custody. “Parole” is supervised release granted under Parole Board authority. “Probation” is court-ordered community supervision and may occur without a prison release. “Discharge” means supervision or the sentence has ended, not merely that a person left a building.

Benton County Release Record Fields

The Sheriff’s 48 Hour Release view is a useful lead because it keeps a released booking visible for a short period. Its list cards show a booking photograph, name, booking number, age, release date and exact time, booking date and time, charges when displayed, bond when displayed, and a profile link. The linked profile can add gender, race, and arresting agency.

FieldWhat it shows
Name and booking numberThe person and the specific Benton County booking to match.
Booking date and timeWhen that jail episode began.
Release date and timeWhen the jail marked its custody ended for that booking.
Age and profile detailsIdentifiers that help avoid a name-only match.
Charges and arresting agencyCase context, not proof of a final disposition.
BondA displayed amount that may change and does not state the release reason.
Booking photographAn image tied to the booking, retained on the short release view.

The online page is expressly a convenience rather than an official Sheriff record. No public retention promise was found beyond the named 48-hour window. For an authenticated or older record, the Sheriff’s records custodian is the proper source.

Request Benton County Release Records

Det. Hope Hearn is named as Custodian of Records for the Sheriff’s Administrative Division. Requests are accepted during administrative hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The official page says processing may take up to three days. It does not publish a fixed form, fee schedule, or full delivery procedure, so ask about cost and submission method before sending sensitive details.

  1. Record the full name, date of birth if known, booking number, case number, and approximate booking and release dates.
  2. Ask for the booking sheet plus the release, discharge, or movement record tied to that booking.
  3. Request the exact release date and time, recorded release type or reason if maintained, and receiving custodian if it was a transfer.
  4. Ask for the booking photograph in its existing releasable form only if it is needed.
  5. Request a fee estimate and the legal basis for any withheld or redacted material.

Correct Benton County Release Records

A short-lived roster entry can still help correct or authenticate a later record. Preserve the booking number, displayed release timestamp, and the page address while the entry remains available. Then give those details to the named custodian. This connects the public lead to the official booking file and reduces the risk of mixing two people with similar names.

Explain the disputed field with care. A charge can change after a court appearance. A bond value may also change. The profile itself directs current bail and case-number questions to detention staff, while a judgment or docket entry belongs with the Circuit Clerk. Asking the office that controls each field is more precise than asking one agency to correct another agency’s record.

Note: Save the booking number and timestamp first, then ask the Sheriff’s custodian to authenticate or correct the official record.

Benton County Bond and Release

The release cards may show bond, but that number is not a release code. A value of $0.00 does not establish time served, dismissal, recognizance, transfer, or any other outcome. The same caution applies to any amount shown because charges and bail can change after a court appearance. Detention staff are the official contact for a current amount and case number.

Pair the release timestamp with the court docket when the legal basis matters. Case.net may show an order setting or reducing bond, a recognizance release, dismissal, judgment, jail credit, or time served. Yet a judge’s order shows authority to release, not the exact moment physical processing ended. Another warrant, hold, or transfer can still affect what happened next.

Benton County Release Record Laws

Missouri’s Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, governs public governmental records subject to exemptions and closure rules. The Missouri Attorney General’s Sunshine Law overview explains the general access framework. Locally, the named Sheriff custodian is the practical channel for release and movement records.

RSMo 610.105 closes certain case records after a qualifying final termination, including specified dismissals, acquittals, and suspended impositions, subject to the statute. RSMo 610.120 explains that closed records are generally kept but made confidential and removed from ordinary public access. Juvenile, sealed, confidential, expunged, and security-sensitive information may therefore be withheld or absent. A failed search does not prove that no earlier custody event existed.

Record limit: Public access can narrow through closure, confidentiality, or expungement even when an underlying arrest, case, or release once occurred.

Benton County Expunged Release Records

Missouri expungement under RSMo 610.140 works through a court petition. The petition must name the agencies and other entities believed to hold the records. If granted, the named holders close records under RSMo 610.120 rather than erase proof that the event once occurred. An omitted holder may need separate treatment.

Eligibility, exclusions, timing, paid obligations, pending charges, and record-count rules are set by statute. The key search lesson is limited but important. A Benton County release record can disappear from ordinary public access because of lawful closure. That absence is not proof that the person was never booked or released. Court and custodian responses should control, especially when public search results conflict.

Search Benton County Released Inmates

Begin with the last known custodian. Benton County’s released view is the right first stop for a recent county-jail booking. MODOC is the right system for a state prison transfer or active parole, conditional release, or probation record. BOP covers federal sentences, while ICE has its own locator. Court records explain the legal event, and the Sheriff’s official record confirms the local custody change.

  1. Open the Sheriff’s 48 Hour Release choice and search by name or review the newest release times.
  2. Match the booking with age, booking number, dates, arresting agency, and charge context rather than name alone.
  3. Read the exact Benton release timestamp and open the profile for more identifiers.
  4. Check Case.net for the Benton County or current 27th Judicial Circuit disposition.
  5. Search MODOC if conviction, sentencing, or transport to state custody is possible.
  6. Use the correct federal or immigration locator only when that authority is involved.
  7. Request the Sheriff’s record when the entry has expired or formal confirmation is needed.

Benton County Recent Release Search

Benton County publishes one official 48 Hour Release product. It is not a distinct 24-hour feed and cannot provide a full 72-hour span. For a one-day check, compare each displayed release time with the current time in Warsaw and keep only entries within the preceding 24 hours. For a three-day check, use the list for the newest two days, then request the missing third day from the Sheriff and compare the court docket.

The released filter is sorted with the newest release first and carries photos on list cards and profiles. No update interval is published, so “real-time” or “immediate” would overstate the source. No official Sheriff mobile app was verified, and the linked Facebook and news channels are not proven systematic release feeds.

Note: Benton County has a true 48-hour product, so shorter or longer windows require manual filtering or an official record request.

Benton County Release Court Search

The Sheriff directs court questions to Benton County Circuit Court and Case.net. Warsaw municipal court has also been heard at the Benton County Courthouse since January 15, 2023. This creates one strong local disposition route through the Circuit Clerk even when the case began as a municipal matter.

Search Case.net by exact case number when possible. A litigant-name search should be narrowed to Benton County, the current 27th Judicial Circuit, and the proper criminal or municipal case type. Compare the Case Header, Charges, Judgments, Docket Entries, and Scheduled Hearings. A bond order, dismissal, sentence, jail credit, time-served entry, probation order, warrant, revocation, or discharge may explain the legal event.

The court entry and jail timestamp answer different questions. The order shows legal authority. The jail record shows the end of physical Benton custody after processing. Pairing them is stronger than relying on either alone when another hold or transfer may exist.

Benton County Release Facility History

Official local records trace planning and committee work for the jail in 2017, voter approval of a sales tax in April 2018, and an official proposal that anticipated an 80-bed project. A Sheriff’s dispatch then described startup at the East Main Street location in 2021. These facts identify the current local setting without proving today’s rated capacity.

The same 2021 dispatch mentioned talks about federal extra-bed space. It did not document a completed contract. Benton County Detention Facility should therefore not be labeled a federal or ICE jail. A federal arresting agency, a transfer, or an old proposal also cannot establish contract status. Confirm the actual receiving authority from the movement record.

Benton County Post-Release Supervision

A Missouri prison release may lead to parole or conditional release under the Division of Probation and Parole. Parole follows a Parole Board decision. Conditional release is the statutory part of a prison sentence served in the community. Probation is imposed by a court and does not always follow prison. Each can produce an active field status in MODOC search.

District 20 serves Benton and five other counties. Its official resource guide lists a Benton reporting site in Warsaw, but assignments can change and should be confirmed before an in-person visit. A supervising officer or office can clarify whether the active record reflects parole, conditional release, probation, an absconder status, or another condition. Final or early discharge ends supervision and may cause the person to disappear from the active offender search.

More detail on field status, discharge, and the local reporting route appears under Post-Release Supervision.

Benton County Release Notifications

MOVANS is Missouri’s victim notification system. It separates local jail and detention data, MODOC data, and court events. For Benton local-jail records, the May 6, 2026 change moved users to the current Missouri Victim Notification Portal and requires SMS or email alerts. Local-jail phone calls and VINELink app alerts are no longer available, and prior local registrants were told to register again.

The current MOVANS portal asks the user to choose the correct provider before searching a specific person.

Match custody status and holding agency, then complete the prompted confirmation for an alert. A missing result may mean the local provider is offline. A notice is an aid, not a certified release sheet, so confirm it with the contributing agency.

The Missouri Sex Offender Registry is a much narrower source. It can show public registration and address information for a person who has a legal duty to register, including an “Incarcerated” address type. A home or temporary address may support the view that the registrant is not marked incarcerated there, but it does not supply an exact release time. It also says nothing about people outside the registry’s legal scope.

The registry can corroborate a qualifying person’s current public status, but the Sheriff’s release record remains the direct source for a Benton jail custody change.

Federal and ICE Release Lookup

Federal and immigration tools apply only when that custody system is involved. The BOP locator covers sentenced federal custody and history from 1982 forward. It accepts BOP Register, DCDC, FBI, or INS numbers, or a name with optional age, race, and sex. A “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody” result means only that BOP no longer holds the person. Another justice system or federal supervision may follow.

ICE’s Online Detainee Locator System accepts an A-number with country of birth or an exact first and last name with country of birth and optional date of birth. ICE states that it covers current detainees and people released from ICE custody within the last 60 days. The U.S. Marshals Service has no comparable public person locator, so a federal pretrial release requires the court order plus confirmation from the physical facility.

Note: Federal and ICE locators do not verify an ordinary Benton County jail release unless that separate authority actually held the person.

Compare Benton County Release Sources

No one search covers every Benton County released inmate. The strongest source depends on who had custody and how long ago the event occurred. Use the table to avoid treating a current roster, court order, or federal result as broader proof than it is.

SourceBest useMain limit
Current jail rosterWho is now listed in Benton custodyNot a released-person archive
48 Hour ReleaseRecent Benton release timestamp and booking detailsShort-lived and expressly nonofficial
Sheriff custodianOfficial booking, release, or movement recordAccess, fees, and redactions depend on the request
Case.netCourt order, disposition, sentence, or probation eventDoes not prove the exact physical exit time
MODOC active searchInstitutional or field-supervised state statusFinally discharged people are excluded
FAK930 fileHistorical MODOC sentence rows and date fieldsWorking data must be reconciled by person
BOP or ICE locatorCustody status within that federal systemDoes not settle ordinary county custody

A custodian-produced release or movement record is the best local evidence. It becomes stronger when its timestamp agrees with the court order or receiving agency. Disappearance from a roster is the weakest evidence because it can reflect release, transfer, expiry, a search mismatch, or lawful closure.

Benton County Release Facility

Benton County Detention Facility is the only verified local detention facility in the project map. The Sheriff’s Office operates it at 1620 East Main Street in Warsaw. It holds male and female detainees, people awaiting trial, people serving local sentences, and people waiting for transport to MODOC.

Someone leaving this facility may return to the community after bond, dismissal, court order, or local sentence completion. Another person may move to MODOC or a different custodian. The 48-hour timestamp marks the end of the Benton booking, while the official movement record identifies where custody went next.
