Benton County Release Mugshot Sources
The Benton County Sheriff’s released list and linked profiles are the strongest public local source for a recent booking photograph. They place the image beside the name, booking number, age, booking time, release time, charges, and bond when shown. The same profile adds gender, race, and arresting agency. These fields help prevent a photo from being assigned to the wrong person.
The photo remains tied to an arrest and booking, not to guilt or a final court outcome. A release timestamp means Benton County ended that booking. It does not say whether the person left on bond, after dismissal, at the end of a local sentence, or by transfer to another custodian. Read the image with the Sheriff record and the relevant Case.net disposition, not in isolation.
Where Benton County Release Mugshots Appear
Each channel has a different scope. The Sheriff’s recent-release entry is local and brief. MODOC covers active state offenders, including people in institutions or under field supervision, while the registry applies only to people with a legal registration duty. None is a permanent gallery of all people released from Benton County.
| Channel | Has a photo? | How to access it |
|---|---|---|
| Sheriff 48 Hour Release | Yes, on verified cards and profiles | Open the official released filter while the booking remains in the short window. |
| Sheriff records request | Ask for the booking image | Identify the exact booking and request the photo in its existing releasable form. |
| MODOC active search | A provider result may show one | Use it only when state prison custody or active field supervision applies. |
| MODOC Sunshine request | Possible, not promised | Ask for any releasable identification photo; the historical bulk file has no image field. |
| Missouri registry | Public details can include one | Use only for a person legally required to register. |
| Sheriff news or Facebook | Sometimes | Search official posts, but do not treat them as a routine release-photo feed. |
| Commercial mirrors and news | May carry copied or case imagery | Treat as secondary and potentially stale; return to official records for confirmation. |
Find Recent Benton County Mugshots
Open the exact Benton County released filter. It is ordered by release time descending and is expressly a 48-hour product. There is no separate official 24-hour or 72-hour photo feed. A same-day search should retain only release timestamps from the past day. An older three-day search needs a records request for the missing period.
- Search the released cards and identify the correct name, age, and booking number.
- Compare the booking and release timestamps with the event being researched.
- Open the profile and check the arresting agency, charges, bond, gender, and race.
- Save the booking number and exact dates before the public entry ages out.
- Check Case.net for the matching case and ask the Sheriff for the official record when needed.
The Sheriff warns that the online information is a convenience rather than an official record that the website can certify. A screenshot can preserve what appeared at one moment, but it does not replace a custodian-produced booking photo or release record. For same-day records, the Benton County 24-Hour Releases method explains the timestamp cutoff.
Note: A photo match should include a booking number or case context because names and physical appearance alone can produce a false identification.
No Benton County Sheriff Mugshot App
No official Benton County Sheriff mobile application was identified in the agency’s complete site map. The official Sheriff Facebook link and news pages may carry arrest or case imagery, but neither was verified as a systematic release-photo service. Do not substitute a commercial jail app for the Sheriff’s released roster or describe it as an official Benton County source.
This is also distinct from Missouri victim notification. DPS says MobilePatrol and Missouri Sheriff Connect are not affiliated with DPS or MOVANS. Since May 6, 2026, Benton local-jail registrations in the current MOVANS portal use SMS and/or email, not local phone calls or VINELink-app alerts. MOVANS may show photographs for some providers, but its role is custody status and notification, not an archive of Benton County release mugshots.
The official Sheriff site map is the source used to check for an agency app.
Request a Benton County Booking Photo
After the public entry expires, send a focused request to the Sheriff’s Administrative Division. The official page names Det. Hope Hearn as Custodian of Records, lists Monday through Friday office hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and says document requests may take up to three days for processing. That does not guarantee production within three days. No fixed local fee or guaranteed image format was published, so ask for an estimate and the available format before production.
- Provide the full name and date of birth if known.
- Add the booking number, case number, and approximate booking and release dates.
- Ask for the booking photograph associated with that specific booking in its existing releasable form.
- Request the booking sheet and release or movement record when identity or release context also matters.
- Ask the custodian to identify any cost and explain the legal basis for material that is withheld or redacted.

Detention: 660-438-6135
Administrative hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Sheriff’s contact page cautions that email is unencrypted and should not carry sensitive information. Calling is the safer route for sensitive details. Missouri Sunshine Law governs access to public governmental records subject to closures and exemptions, but a request is not a promise that every image will be released.
Missouri Records Beyond Benton Mugshots
MODOC’s public tools should be used only when the person entered state custody or remains actively supervised. The Offender Web Search covers active offenders, including people in institutions, on probation, or on parole. It expressly excludes finally discharged people. A missing result therefore does not establish that MODOC never held the person or that no state identification image exists.
The nightly FAK930 historical file contains sentence and supervision data but no image field. The official FAK930 layout shows the structure of that data source.
The file can support identity and case reconciliation, but it cannot supply a booking photo. A MODOC Sunshine request may ask for any releasable identification image by MODOC number, full name, date of birth, and case number without promising that the agency will produce one.
The Missouri Sex Offender Registry is narrower still. Public details can include a photograph only for a person legally required to register. It is not a substitute for the Benton County booking record, and registry absence says nothing conclusive about the existence of a jail photo.
Note: A MODOC or registry photo belongs to that state record and should not be relabeled as the Benton booking image.
Secondary Benton County Photo Sources
Official Sheriff news or social posts can include arrest or case photographs, but no consistent release-photo schedule was found. Local news may also reproduce agency imagery. These sources can help locate a past image, yet the caption, date, and case context must be checked because the item may describe arrest rather than release and may not reflect a later dismissal, amended charge, or court result.
Commercial mugshot publishers and data mirrors may preserve stale copies after the Sheriff’s two-day display ends. Their provenance and correction practices can be unclear. No commercial publisher or removal vendor is linked or endorsed. When a copied image conflicts with an agency record, use the Sheriff, court, MODOC, registry, or other originating public office to establish the current official context.
“Still online” and “still public at the source” are not the same fact. A copy can outlast the source’s lawful public availability or its normal retention window. Keep the source URL, capture date, booking identifier, and any correction response when documenting a mismatch.
Benton County Mugshots After Expungement
Missouri expungement is a petition process. Under RSMo 610.140, the petition must name the agencies and entities believed to hold the records. A granted order closes records under RSMo 610.120 rather than proving that the historical arrest or custody event never took place. Court and administrative records become confidential with the access limits set by law. An omitted record holder may require separate treatment.
The official Missouri expungement statute supplies the governing framework.
Public disappearance can thus reflect lawful closure, the end of the Sheriff’s short display, a search mismatch, or a source’s own limits. It does not prove that no image was ever made. Juvenile, confidential, expunged, sealed, and security-sensitive records may be withheld or absent.
No verified Missouri statute aimed specifically at mugshot publishers or commercial pay-to-remove conduct was found in the official sources reviewed. Do not claim one exists. Address an official image through the record holder and any court order; do not treat a commercial removal promise as an official remedy.
Note: Send an expungement order to each named holder and confirm how that office applies it rather than assuming every copied image changed at once.
Verify Benton County Mugshot Context
A photograph alone cannot establish present custody, release reason, guilt, sentence completion, or final discharge. Pair the Benton booking image with the exact booking and release timestamps. Then inspect Case.net for the legal event. If transfer to MODOC is possible, search the active state system and use the historical or Sunshine channels for final-discharge research. If the Sheriff web card has expired, obtain the custodian’s booking and movement records.
- Booking photo
- An image created as part of a specific custody booking.
- Release record
- The agency record showing when that custodian marked the booking ended.
- Transfer
- A change from one custodian to another, not necessarily freedom from custody.
- Expungement
- A court-based process that can close qualifying records under Missouri law.
The strongest conclusion comes from consistent records tied to the same booking number, case, person, and date. Absence from a current roster or photo page is weak evidence. Ask the office that made the image to correct or authenticate its record.
